    On the other hand, I'd prefer my kid watch this ecology stuff from the 70s rather than the crap they have on Sesame today. (e.g., Elmo: "fish-fish-fish, fish-fish-fish!" Gah.

    Clever way to teach preschoolers the idea of ecology, so to speak, and how water plants(in the lake)are worthwhile, for fisherman. I do remember this one; saw it many a time.

    Good point, especially since he looked bored like he was sitting in the same spot for hours on days and nights never getting a fish to bite while holding his fishing rod until the clam talked to him after many days and nights.
