Human beings do stupid things all the time, like not learning from our past mistakes, as was the case of the Fukushima nuclear disaster in Japan. And what about in America? Did you know that some nuclear plants will clearly fail inspections but lobbyists bribe the nuclear watchdog in the government to look the other way, in order to save a ton of money on much-needed repairs? And some plants sit so close to tectonic plates, it's only a matter of time until we see them become the next Chernobyl.

To be honest, opening the site up for touring was mad stupid, if it did happen. Wasn't the Chernobyl disaster one of the BIGGEST nuclear disasters in history? Though it happened in 1986, there is still bound to be some crazy amounts of radiation left. It'll take ages for the site to be deemed as 'safe'. Opening it up to curious bastards and exposing them to radiation as an excuse to make money is brutal.

Now of course the people who built the sarcophagus as well as first responders all died of acute radiation sickness. On another note last point is that with out nuclear power, Europe will be 75% dependent on oil from the Ukraine, Russia, and the Balkans...... The more you know.

Actually, it has been shown that cancer in the Ukraine and surrounding areas numbers was not incredibly high, on the contrary to what mainstream media would have you believe. The inhabitants of Hiroshima and Nagasaki were exposed to hundreds of times the amount of radiation that inhabitants of the Ukraine and Russia were exposed to, yet radiation related sickness was much lower in Japan. Its also an interesting fact the Chernobyl is not a waste land but actually a thriving wildlife preserve.
