This might be the best song ever written.

If by "VERY similar" you mean "completely unique from eachother", then I agree.

Agreed. Dylan's alternate version of "Meet Me in the Morning," "Call Letter Blues" is even better. I found myself on 56th and Wabasha, downtown St. Paul, quite by accident.

meet me in the morning is not a rather ordinary 12 bar blues. The subtleties in that song are some of the most precise and impressive variations in any 12 bar blues song youll ever hear

to be honest im glad this aint on the record because it sounds very similar to lily rosemary and the jack of hearts... and it sounds VERY similar to simple twist of fate.

Picking your favorite Dylan song is like picking your favorite child, you just can't do it, it's impossible.

I can only wonder why Up To Me was mothballed while the rather ordinary twelve bar Meet Me In The Morning was included on Blood On The Tracks.

Yeah, and he's just funny, even at the hardest times. Somehow, he understands the wandering sad workingman he talks through in Blood on the Tracks. I was that guy, in my 20s.

Oh, the only decent thing I did when I worked as a postal clerk

Was to haul your picture down off the wall near the cage where I used to work
