if ANYONE else had written this people would talk about it being one f the greatest songs ever, but or BOB DYLAN this sng is merely an outake. this man i beound compare.paul simon, springsteen, mcartney, tom waits and randy newman newman would sell their children to be able to write this song!!!!!!!!1

Agreed. Dylan's alternate version of "Meet Me in the Morning," "Call Letter Blues" is even better. I found myself on 56th and Wabasha, downtown St. Paul, quite by accident.

meet me in the morning is not a rather ordinary 12 bar blues. The subtleties in that song are some of the most precise and impressive variations in any 12 bar blues song youll ever hear

I can only wonder why Up To Me was mothballed while the rather ordinary twelve bar Meet Me In The Morning was included on Blood On The Tracks.

Yeah, and he's just funny, even at the hardest times. Somehow, he understands the wandering sad workingman he talks through in Blood on the Tracks. I was that guy, in my 20s.
