(Minghui.org) Falun Gong practitioners held an event in front of the University of Freiburg on April 26, 2025. They introduced Falun Gong and condemned the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) persecution. The event caught the attention of many people, including Chinese students and tourists.

Freiburg is located in the southwest of Germany, close to the Black Forest. It is an ancient university town and the center of the Catholic diocese. Freiburg has the University of Freiburg, which was founded during the Renaissance, and the famous medieval Freiburg Cathedral. The city is also the center of the Baden wine-producing region in Germany.
Falun Gong practitioners hung banners on the Platz der Alten Synagoge in front of the University of Freiburg, including banners introducing the Falun Gong exercises, showing how widespread Falun Gong is around the world, and calling to stop the CCP’s persecution. Many passersby stopped to look at the banners and showed their support for the practitioners.
Chinese Student Quits the CCP and Its Affiliated Organizations
A Chinese youth took some time to view the display boards. He said that he was a student in Germany and had just come over a short time ago. He was stunned to see the Falun Gong banners on the street, because the topics on them are banned in China.
A practitioner talked with him about Falun Gong and the CCP’s persecution. The young man was indignant and said the CCP’s police were bad. He was aware that the CCP started out as a gangster group, so he agreed to say no to the CCP, “But in China I dare not say so.”
The practitioner asked him about his experiences from studying in Germany. He said that except for trying to get used to the different food, everything was fine, especially the pleasant environment. He remarked that it was not like this in China. All the industries are in a state of internal competition. Even young people feel a lot of pressure. Everyone is exhausted. The young man said that there is more to it than that. There is no freedom of speech or belief in China. You can’t use Google in China and you can’t see real news. News in China is filled with the CCP’s lies.
The practitioner advised him to quit the CCP and its affiliated organizations with an alias on The Epoch Times website. He agreed and thanked the practitioner. He said he would come back to chat again after lunch and then left with some informational materials.
Chinese Youth from Japan Praises Falun Gong
A young Chinese couple stood in front of a large banner for a long time. The young man greeted a practitioner politely. He said he had come from Japan for a vacation and had seen Falun Gong in several cities in Germany, either on the streets or in parks. “Today on the streets of Freiburg, you are the only group doing something for free. I have to give a thumbs up to Falun Gong.”
The young man said that he often came across Falun Gong in Japan. A practitioner in Japan had helped him quit the CCP organizations. A practitioner then asked him if his parents and friends in China had made the choice to quit the CCP. He was surprised at first, and then shook his head. The practitioner advised him to tell them about the CCP’s nature and the importance of quitting the Party and its affiliated organizations. He accepted a newspaper with the website link for quitting the CCP.
