(Minghui.org) New York-based Shen Yun Performing Arts arrived in Taiwan on December 28 to kick off its 2026 Asia tour. This marks the company’s 18th visit to Taiwan. Shen Yun will stage 33 performances across seven major Taiwanese cities beginning on December 30.
Taiwan’s President and more than 100 government officials sent congratulatory messages and well wishes for the performances.
Shen Yun Warmly Welcomed in Taiwan
Shen Yun New Era Company arrived at the Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport on December 28.
Taiwan’s president Lai Ching-te issued a special message congratulating Shen Yun on its performances and sent flowers.
In his message, President Lai stated he was pleased to learn that Shen Yun would tour Taiwan from December 30, 2025, to February 8, 2026, and expressed hope that “this major cultural event would help build a creative performance platform, promote artistic exchange and learning, enrich humanistic and artistic cultivation, and contribute to the development of a peaceful and rational society.”
Shen Yun artists were welcomed by large crowds of fans at the airport.
Artists Look Forward to Taiwan Tour

Oliver Perrett, a master of ceremonies for Shen Yun, said, “We’re really grateful to Taiwan for always being supportive of us over the years, giving us so much support, and making us feel very at home here when we perform.
“When people see our show, they become very clear on what Chinese culture is. It’s a very spiritual, [deeply rooted] traditional culture. And it’s very different from what the Communist Party has made of China in modern times,” he said.
Bella Fan, a principal dancer for Shen Yun and a Taiwan native, said: “Coming to Asia to perform—and being able to return to my hometown—makes me feel especially emotional. For me, Shen Yun is not just a performing arts company, but a cultural inheritance and a spiritual mission.”

Prior to Shen Yun’s performances, the company received congratulatory messages from over 100 Taiwanese government officials.

Minister of the Mainland Affairs Council Chiu Chui-cheng wrote, “Beauty of divine dancing; the bearing spreads across the world.”
